The Strategic Technology Analysis Group (STAG), part of SPA's Space and Intelligence Division, offers sophisticated capabilities (people, process & tools) to resolve unique problems in space, cyber, and special operations in support to military services, Secretary of Defense offices (OSD) and theater warfighters. Our portfolio includes the Assistant Secretary of Air Force for Space Acquisition & Integration (SAF/SQ), Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC), Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP), National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO), US Space Command (USSPACECOM) and US Space Force (USSF). Come be a part of a high-speed low-drag organization providing unique and tailored solutions for our National Defense! SPA has an immediate need for a Technical Program Analyst. Responsibilities Seeking a Technical Program Analyst to support a DoD office in the development of rapid prototyping effects focused on Long Range Fires (LRF). SETA will support program management and system engineering activities in a program office like organization. While a background in systems engineering, DoD acquisition including prototyping, military capability development, and familiarity with hypersonics would be beneficial, we are seeking a candidate who is proactive and willing to learn by doing, not necessarily the person with the perfect background on paper. Travel less than 25%. Program management type activities will include: Prepare statements of work and other acquisition related documents for work done by technical performers. Oversee complete lifecycle for acquisition/contracting efforts of various sizes, going from RFP to contract closeout. Assist in budget development for the program and cost estimation for specific activities. Complete administrative tasks, such as recording action items/trackers, submitting funding request documents, maintaining team calendar, setting up meetings and senior leader engagements, and preparing briefing materials. Systems Engineering type activities will include: CONOPS development and requirements engineering for prototype systems. Maintain risk trackers and burndown charts. Assist with planning and execution of test and evaluation events. Assist with planning, execution, and oversight of modeling and simulation efforts. Qualifications Required: Active TS/SCI with SCI and SAP eligibility STEM undergraduate degree or technical work experience in the DoD/NASA/NOAA/NNSA (uniformed or civilian) Minimum of 5 years of DoD or IC experience Able to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DoD, IC, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, and initiative, and require minimal supervision Reports to designated work location in Chantilly, VA, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer Desired: Aerospace engineering or systems engineering in an aerospace context Previous experience working in a DoD/NASA/NOAA/NNSA program office
