Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. citizen with DoD security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain clearance while employed with SPA
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (preferably engineering, chemistry, physics, math), or equivalent job experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop actionable recommendations
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams within SSP and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting technical or financial information
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with missile system development, testing, or design processes
- Prior experience with government acquisition or program management processes
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will provide comprehensive technical and programmatic support to the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS), Sea-Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N), and TRIDENT II missile programs within Strategic Systems Programs (SSP). This role involves collaborating across SSP program teams to develop solutions and action plans that mitigate risks and ensure program milestones are achieved. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to support the SSP financial and budget teams as well as Flight Systems government teams to facilitate safe, effective, and cost-conscious designs. Occasional travel will be required, up to several times per year. The selected candidate will be seated at the Washington Navy Yard.
