Required Qualifications:
- Current DoD security clearance – minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 2–5+ years' experience in strategic communications
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint, to communicate to decision makers
Desired Qualifications:
- B.A. in strategic communications or equivalent
- Experience in either public or congressional affairs within a government organization
- Experience with Defense Acquisition System DoD 5000 series and Navy or DoD program planning
- Experience with, and knowledgeable of, SSP program office organizations and processes
Responsibilities
The Analyst will provide on-site support to the external communication efforts of the SLCM-N program. Specific duties would include developing strategic communication products, advising leadership on engagement strategies, and proactively addressing potential public concerns. This is a high-visibility position expected to work closely with the broader external communications capability team to brief leadership and assist the program in maintaining message discipline.
This position will be seated at Maritime Plaza, with frequent trips to the Washington Navy Yard and the option for light telework.
