Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or GED) AND (a) a graduate of a military training program that provided an in-depth knowledge of naval shipboard systems maintenance and operation, or (b) a graduate of a technical school in an engineering field
- Ten (10) years of collective experience in the operation, maintenance, testing and repair of U.S. Navy nuclear-powered warships either shipboard, on Squadron, Group or Type Commander staffs or at a public or private shipyard
- Five (5) years of collective experience in nuclear engineering, radiological controls and radiological/all-hazard emergency planning
- DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
Desired Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience working as a supervisor in a nuclear-capable shipyard or serving aboard U.S. Navy nuclear-powered warships as a Nuclear-trained Division Officer, Leading Chief Petty Officer (LCPO) (E6 (Enlisted)) or higher
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering
Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst will provide analytic and engineering support to the Commander, Submarine Force U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMSUBPAC) Maintenance and Material Readiness Directorate (N4), focusing on support to the training and oversight of radiological controls for operations and maintenance for submarines and submarine tenders. The Senior Analyst will apply an understanding of submarine nuclear programs, submarine logistics, and maintenance to proactively manage new initiatives, coordinate stakeholders, and drive projects to completion. Additionally, the Senior Engineer will translate complex technical problems into leadership-ready briefs, including briefs to clients and senior leadership on analytic findings and progress. This position is primarily located on client site at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, with potential for travel to local, CONUS, and OCONUS client locations.
