The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention. SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. The position is in support of the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Guidance and Fire Control Branch (SP23). Systems Planning and Analysis (SPA) is seeking a Program Analyst to join our Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG), supporting the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP). This position provides support to the Guidance and Fire Control Branch (SP23) of SSP. This role will work directly with SP23 leadership to help ensure the smooth programmatic functioning of the branch. This position will be based in Washington, D.C. Washington D.C. Pay Transparency Range: $110,000 - 145,000/year. Responsibilities The Program Analyst will provide programmatic support to SSP's Guidance and Fire Control Branch (SP23) in a deputy/chief of staff capacity. Responsibilities include: Communicating daily with the SP23 Branch Head to ensure priorities are understood. Acting as Action Officer on behalf of the SP23 Branch Head to track branch actions across multiple portfolios and ensure they are completed on time. Providing program analysis to identify areas for process improvement and implementing improvement plans. Working with stakeholders to produce financial, schedule, and other program summaries for branch leadership, highlighting areas of opportunity and concern. Assisting with the development of and compiling inputs to presentation slides for various meetings and providing quality reviews prior to submission. Managing Branch Confluence and Jira pages. Coordinating and handling logistics for branch meetings. The specific duties and responsibilities outlined above are subject to change based on the evolving needs of the program. Any significant changes will be communicated and discussed prior to the employee's start date. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Active DoD SECRET clearance (TOP SECRET strongly preferred). 3-5 years of experience with Department of Defense weapon system acquisition or Navy operational experience, ideally related to Navy submarine systems, Strategic Weapon System (SWS) integration, or launcher/nav/combat system development and testing. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute workload to meet requirements and deadlines across multiple projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing senior leader briefings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Project) and Confluence/Jira. Desired Qualifications: Master's degree. Prior SSP or NAVSEA experience, ideally in a program office capacity. Background in defense acquisition, nuclear weapons systems, or SWS acquisition planning.
