Qualifications
Required:
- 5 years of experience with the Defense Acquisition System
- 5 years of experience with nuclear weapons and weapon systems at the operational or programmatic level
- Understanding of DoDI 5000.02 and the DoD acquisition process
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
- Master's Degree
- Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
- Willingness for occasional travel (may be required (less than 10%))
Desired:
- Experience as a DoD Program Manager/Deputy Program Manager
- Project Management Professional Certification or DAWIA Level I, II or III in Program Management
- Experience supporting the Sentinel, LRSO or ALCM programs
- Special Access Program eligibility
Responsibilities
SPA is seeking experienced Nuclear Acquisition Analysts to support OSD oversight of the Nuclear Triad sustainment and modernization, with a primary focus on nuclear modernization programs in the land- and air-legs of the nucleat Triad, supporting the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategic, Space, and Intelligence Portfolio Management (DASD(SSIPM)) in the Strategic Deterrence and Capabilities (SDC) Directorate. SPA personnel will also support DASD(SSIPM)'s participation in the Nuclear Weapons Council and other DoD nuclear-related forums, and will develop decision-ready material for senior leaders and apply the initiative to navigate headquarters and acquisition processes to support the DASD portfolio management responsibilities. The Nuclear Acquisition Analyst will support portfolio management and oversight of systems through development, production, and fielding to the warfighter.
