Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • US citizen, and must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area
  • Ability to work onsite, up to full time, depending on client demands
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office toolset (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Effective communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with various levels of stakeholders
  • Proficiency in managing Technical Data Packages (e.g., mechanical/electrical drawings, interconnect diagrams, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be a team player
  • Active SECRET Security Clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Agile SAFe engineering certifications
  • STEM Master's degree
  • Experience working in the Defense ecosystem (e.g., familiarity with requirements process, developing retrofit kits, supporting engineering fielded systems)


Responsibilities

  • Applying Agile principles to complex hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Applying Agile principles to functional tasks and activities of the IBCS Increment 2 Engineering team efforts related to:
    • requirements definition and traceability, Model Based System Engineering, configuration management, hardware/software development, platform integration, component qualification, and system qualification, to include technology insertion testing, failure review boards, reducibility, system modeling and simulation performance, product assurance, configuration management, test and evaluation, reliability, and in-service support for the all Increment 2 IBCS variants.
  • Perform radio frequency (RF) and internet protocol (IP) network implementation in military systems.
  • Act as the Senior Level Engineer, ensuring that all technical aspects of IBCS meet technical requirements throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Responsible to the Modernization Division Chief for maintaining technical integrity and all engineering disciplines across all technical activities associated with IBCS Increment 2.
  • Direct support to the Modernization Division Chief for the proper application of engineering principles.
  • Recruit and retain a high-caliber workforce to provide technical support and staffing to the Project Management Office.
  • Develop briefings and information papers, as well as participate in discussions and briefings with senior Army, other Services, and OSD leaders, such as the Army Acquisition Executive, ASA (ALT) Systems of Systems Engineering & Integration, OSD Systems Engineering, and AT&L.
  • Other duties as assigned.
