The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. Team Submarine unifies submarine platform procurement activities, which includes the Columbia-class SSBN program (a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navy's top acquisition priority), the Virginia-class SSN program and the new SSN-X program (developing the next generation attack submarine), to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces. Analysts and Engineers supporting Team Submarine will continue SPA's decades of support to the SSBN force, as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction, assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition. SPA has a near term need of a highly experienced Social Media Manager who can provide three star level deliverables supporting Commander Navy Personnal Command. # Responsibilities In this role, you will be called upon to provide day-to-day project management support, including planning, coordination, development, and execution of lines of effort and initiatives within the OPNAV N1 Public Affairs Office's social media marketing efforts, a three star level position. The candidate will manage OPNAV N1's social media channels to ensure consistent, effective communication of the command's messaging to a broad audience. This role will also develop and implement social media strategies that drive measurable engagement, enhance return on investment, and strengthen enterprise-wide awareness. Candidate should be able to use their subject matter expertise to do analysis using social media analytic tools, providing Command Naval Personnel PAO and staff with recommendations on social media responses and postings. Qualifications Required 5 -7 Years of high-level (CEO, General or Admiral level) Strategic Communications or Social Media Marketing experience. Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, or similar. Proven experience using social media analytics and management tools such as Sprout Social to assess campaign performance, inform strategy, and optimize future content. Demonstrated ability to translate complex policies and initiatives into clear, engaging social media campaigns aligned with an established brand and audience. Familiarity with Navy programs, plans, and personnel, and the ability to quickly learn and apply Department of the Navy and Department of Defense social media policies. A SECRET clearance or ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. Recommended: Strong skills in community management, including real-time engagement, issue resolution, and accurate information sharing to close conversation loops. Ability to develop weekly and quarterly reports summarizing social media performance, sentiment, environment trends, and leadership-level insights. Setting and achieving personnel-focused strategic goals, maintaining an audience-driven content calendar. Ability to collaborate with Navy partners to execute integrated products and campaigns.
