Qualifications
Required:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- PhD in Systems Biology, Chemistry, Material Science, Biophysics, or a related field
- Minimum 20 years of experience in Biotechnology working in either Government or Industry, along with at least three years of post-doctoral work
- Able to work onsite at the Pentagon at least 3 days per week--and potentially full-time depending on client needs
Desired:
- Experience in a DoD Lab/Facility
Responsibilities
The candidate will support the Office of the Director of Defense Research and Engineering for Modernization (DDR&E(M)) to provide a range of RDT&E technical and engineering support to Principal Directors (PD). Will serve as a Senior Engineer/Scientist for Biotechnology Manufacturing and work with other subject matter experts in this field. This role will involve project management and community outreach. Will assist in the development, maintenance, and integration of modernization technology roadmaps, and will help coordinate with key stakeholders across the OUSD (R&E) Enterprise, Services/Agencies, and other key partners identified by DDR&E(M). Will also be responsible for assisting with the development of strategy documents, DoD Instructions, and other Department products, while also tracking department-wide budgets. Will prepare and present reports to DoD leadership, Congress, Industry, Academia, and other agencies as directed by the PD.
