The Senior Quality/Operational Excellence Technician will be part of a collaborative Operational Excellence team that ensures only the best products are made, and that we are producing labels which show our level of pride and care. Every day we bring our customers' labels and packaging to life, creating a customer experience that is second to none, and enabling them to stand out from the competition. Imagine walking through stores and seeing our labels on your favorite products and brands!

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Key Responsibilities for Senior Op Ex Tech include:    

  • Interact directly with internal departments to administer NCR process; work with internal teams to define root cause and corrective actions; provide timely response to customers with findings, corrective actions, and disposition of defective product as necessary.
  • Work closely with Operators and Management in areas of date collection and analysis to resolve problems and support workflow/continuous process improvement in areas such as equipment performance, output quality, and work schedules.
  • Assist OPEX Manager in performing and maintaining internal and external audit programs; publicize internal audit reports and findings to Management.
  • Work safely, abide by and promote established safety policies and procedures.  Identify and follow-up on unsafe conditions.  Attending required safety training.
  • Work closely with teams/departments to create an environment that supports workflow and continuous improvement.

The ideal Senior Op Ex Tech candidate must demonstrate:   

  • Attention to detail, organization, effective time management, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High level of customer service; responding promptly to the inquires and needs of individuals, both internal and external to the organization
  • Effective and tactful communication, orally and in writing, to all levels of people inside and outside the organization; excellent math skills
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills including the ability to mentor, guide, motivate, and train a diverse team of people to develop and elevate quality and safety level across the organization.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Required: Two or more years' experience working win a quality-related role: experience with printing highly preferred
  • Required: Lead Auditor Certification or the ability to gain certification within 90 days of hire
  • A Plus: Experience with Lean Manufacturing and BRC quality systems, Familiar with Six Sigma (Sigma, CPK, Yield). Experience using Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint and Excel
