Description

Siouxland Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, located in Sioux Falls South Dakota, is offering a 2 year associateship leading to full partnership for the right candidate. We practice full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery with an emphasis on the removal of wisdom teeth and dental implants.

Though we have a good number of orthognathic, reconstructive and trauma cases we are not overwhelmed with them. Overall the case mix is well balanced to offer things out of the ordinary and keep things interesting while at the same time maintaining a solid base of dentoalveolar and dental implant cases that make things financially rewarding. If you are completing residency and coming to our practice you will have a good number of diverse cases to prepare for the Boards. We are looking for an associate who, if all parties agree, would like to become a partner after 2 years. There are a number of ways to structure the buy-in and we have experience with several.

Our compensation is very competitive and we have a full benefits and relocation package. It is in everyone's best interest to see you succeed professionally and financially. We want you to be a long term part of our community and enjoy your life here. From a financial standpoint South Dakota has no state income tax so you get to keep more of what you earn. The cost of living is also very low in our state so your money goes farther.

We service the region's 400,000 people, two 400+ bed hospitals, specialty Heart Hospital and same day surgical centers. Our group has two surgeons and we need to expand to three surgeons.

Sioux Falls is a growing community with an unemployment rate in normal economies of less than 1%, and under 5% even through the recessions. We have no HMO penetration and are a fee for service practice with minimal hospital 'on-call' responsibilities.

Our offices are modern with new equipment and cone beam scanners, fully electronic records, electronic billing and scheduling. We have three office managers that will coordinate your staff, your schedule and your business so you can concentrate on surgery and not take office work home with you unless you want to. Our 12,000sq/ft facility and satellite offices are fully AAAHC accredited, with lots of room to work in.

You work with four surgical anesthesia assistants that are college trained as well as a hygienist and they have all completed the AAOMS anesthesia assistant's program. We also have a dedicated recovery room staff and our post-op care unit is modeled after a hospital recovery area. We have been told numerous times that our practice is in the top 5% of practices nationwide. We continually strive to be educators in our region with an active role in our dental and implant study club (a Seattle Study Club and Spear Study Club member), giving lectures to local and regional dental and medical organizations, state leadership positions and volunteering to teach at the region's dental, hygiene and assistants school. We also partner with the state dental society, state agencies and community organizations to lower barriers to care for children and adults with limited resources.

South Dakotans are well known for being friendly, giving and hardworking; and you will develop lasting friendships within the dental community and the community at large. Sioux Falls is a great community to work and live as a family or live as a single. Enjoy the benefits of suburban living without the big city traffic and problems. We have very good K-12 schools, colleges and universities that are nationally recognized, as well as a thriving arts community and symphony. In the summer we have a number of festivals such as Ribfest, the largest Jazzfest in the mid-west, airshows, numerous lakes for boating, a great hunting environment and of course the Sturgis Bike Rally among other things to do.

So overall we have a strong practice, live in a great community and are active patient care partners with our dental and medical colleagues at multiple levels. For the right person and family this opportunity is a great one.

Sincerely, Denis Miller, D.D.S Louis T George, D.M.D.Siouxland Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Siouxland Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
