Electronics Validation Technician

General Robotics (a SIG SAUER company) is a leading developer and supplier of advanced defense systems to special forces. Our systems are designed to provide remote situational awareness and engagement capabilities to increase the survivability of special forces.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Validation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in validating hardware for defense systems. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electronic circuit boards and components. This role requires a deep understanding of electronic schematics, datasheets, and the overall flow of electronic circuits.

Responsibilities:
• Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electronic circuit boards and components.
• Develop and execute comprehensive validation test plans and procedures.
• Conduct environmental, stress, and reliability testing on electronic hardware.
• Analyze test data to identify defects, failures, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve validation issues.
• Document test results and create detailed validation reports.
• Design and test system cables
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date test equipment and laboratory environment.
• Stay current with industry standards and best practices for hardware validation.
• Adhere to strict quality control standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware validation for defense systems.
• Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, and systems.
• Proficiency in using electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, spectrum analyzer, etc.).
• Experience with environmental and reliability testing methodologies.
• Experience with cables design and testing.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if required).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with specific hardware validation standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810).
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and data interpretation.
• Experience with automated test equipment and scripting.

Working Conditions:
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
