THE OPPORTUNITY:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Real Estate Associate to join our New York office and the Seyfarth Real Estate Department.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
As an associate in the Real Estate Department, you'll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking transactions in collaboration with senior attorneys.
Description
Our dynamic real estate department represents owners, developers and lenders in financing, purchase and sale, development, joint venture, fund formation, leasing, and other real estate matters. We also regularly represent these parties in organizational structuring, real estate joint ventures, complex debt and equity financing transactions, and private offerings in connection with real estate development.
YOU HAVE:
- Three to five years of extensive well rounded experience with real estate transactions and development, including (as much as possible) (i) borrower and lender side mortgage, mezzanine and preferred equity financing, (ii) seller and buyer side purchase and sale transactions for office, multi-family, mixed-use, industrial, nursing facility, shopping center, hotel and resort and other commercial asset classes, (iii) development projects, including land use, (iv) joint ventures and fund formation, (v) landlord and tenant side leasing for office, retail, industrial, restaurant and other commercial asset classes, as well as ground leasing and master leasing, and (vi) co-op and condominium formation and representation.
- Interest in joining and actively contributing to a dynamic department handling a broad range of matters for a diversified client base.
- Excellent academic credentials, as well as high level analytic, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Admission to the New York State bar.
