THE OPPORTUNITY:
This Marketing and Business Development Assistant is an entry level position that provides support to the Business Development team across the country. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to learn the various aspects of legal marketing and to be part of a dynamic team. You will play an active role in the development and implementation of a variety of projects and will be responsible for helping to coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure successful and on-time execution. You should have a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. You will report to the Director of Client Engagement and Regional Marketing and Business Development Managers.
THE DAY TO DAY:
- Prepare drafts of pitches and proposals, including tracking attorney experience and producing reports.
- Work with the department's research team to conduct research on potential clients, industries, and competitors, as well as other research and analysis to assist attorneys and team members with business development efforts.
- Support office-level sponsorships, including liaising with attorneys and outside organizations and helping ensure utilization of benefits.
- Update the Firm's CRM database (Interaction) including data entry, external mailings, and producing reports.
- Provide editorial support for the development of attorney biographies, award submissions, and experience lists, as well as other drafted communications as necessary
- Assist Business Development team with coordination of regular team meeting schedules and help ensure smooth video conference connections, as well as specialized AV needs.
- Assist Business Development team members with the drafting and production of internal and external communications, including newsletters, invitation content, surveys, announcements, social graphics, and other communications as needed.
- Support the preparation for and execution of client events (briefings, webinars, conferences, social events and other similar events) including support with logistics, development of communications and materials, vendor engagement and other tasks as needed.
- Support other assignments and projects as needed.
YOU HAVE:
- Undergraduate degree in business or related field or equivalent job experience.
- 1-2 years of experience. Law firm experience a plus but not required.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Solid technical skills including internet research, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Database experience a plus (i.e. Interaction, Foundation)
- Ability to efficiently plan and manage time while handling projects for multiple supervisors and competing deadlines.
- Good oral and written communication skills; good grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn new skills as they become necessary, and receptive to feedback.
- Ability to function in a collaborative organization and be a team player.
- Flexible to work overtime when needed.

Los Angeles: The full-time salary range for this role is $53,000 to $63,000 annually, which is based on a 40-hour work week.
San Francisco: The full-time salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 annually, which is based on a 37.5-hour work week.
Seattle: The full-time salary range for this role is $53,000 to $60,000 annually, which is based on a 37.5-hour work week.
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role in the locations listed above at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
