THIS IS AN INTERVIEW POSITION.

THIS POSITION WILL BE APART OF THE HAZWOPER TEAM.

PARTNER REQUIRED TO BE A MEMBER OF HAZWOPER TEAM AFTER BEING AWARD POSITION AND MAINTAIN CURRENT STATUS WHILE IN POSITION

POSITION PURPOSE:

Plant sanitation hands-on leader, expert and advocate. Deploy, monitor and enhance sanitation programs to assure processes are effective and meet company standards. Lead sanitation crews to include the coordination of CIP and manual 7 Step cleaning activities, partner training, inspection , assembly, and continuous process improvement efforts

Perform all process CP, CCP, QP, and CQP checks required for the position. Follow reaction plans for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement deviations.  Be able to identify and understand customer requirements and assist in assuring proper production operation.  Demonstrate identity of product and, record accurate data on production reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Plan and organize sanitation schedules

Operate and maintain the sanitizing and CIP systems at the facility

Assist in clean-up of production processing and packaging equipment utilizing hand tools, high pressure systems, power sprayers, rinsing units and sanitation chemicals

Maintain inventories of sanitation chemicals and equipment

Unload bulk chemical tankers and organize all cleaning chemicals stored at the sanitation cage area

Routinely sanitize drains, floors and any other needed areas

Work with sanitation crews as well as leadership, production, maintenance, quality, and other functions to effectively clean/sanitize equipment and plant prior to resuming operation

Ensure processes are deployed effectively and efficiently

Creating events/Workflow in EQMS - PEM, Special Events, Pre-op, NCRs, Air Monitoring , etc.

Maintains accurate records in electronic system EQMS for swabbing, cleaning schedules and other necessary documentation

Responsible for crew productivity, training, coaching and performance feedback to assure delivery of effective sanitation processes. Must be able to communicate and assess the competency of sanitation partners

Monitor compliance through hands-on monitoring (auditing), inspection, swabbing and coaching.

Assist in maintaining and administering plant sanitation records; use as a tool to monitor performance and improve sanitation practices based on results

Includes but not limited to pre-operation inspection, equipment swabbing, environmental monitoring processes, and investigations

Maintains and updates chemical lists and Material Safety Data Sheets

Verifies and documents chemical concentrations of clean up chemicals

Assist in administering, maintaining and monitoring conformance to Master Sanitation Schedule.

Work closely with production and maintenance partners to establish effective sanitation practices necessary to maintain a food safe environment

Coordinate training of sanitation and janitorial partners on required job responsibilities

Deploy plant training modules; utilize internal resources and external expertise for partner development

Clean, sanitize, sweep, mop and perform other janitorial duties as needed

Performs miscellaneous facility clean-up as needed

Lead assembly crew through pre-start of production activities

Assist in optimizing resources through effective scheduling and coordination with production departments. Additionally, inventory and purchasing of required tools and chemicals

Maintain a partner safe work environment through deployment, monitoring of JHA, lock-out/tag out, SDS training, monitoring processes and utilizing Dakota for reporting incidents

Must be willing to work additional overtime, other shifts and/or weekends as needed

Safely operates power equipment within a confined cooler, warehouse, or production work environment.

Reports necessary maintenance requirements on facilities and equipment.

Other duties as assigned by TL/TA.

FOOD SAFETY FUNCTIONS:

Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements.

Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups

Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met

Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures

              

EDUCATION/SKILLS REQUIRED:  

  • Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English effectively 
  • Must have basic computer skills and familiar with various software systems Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PC Compliance
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions 
  • Lockout/Tagout Training 
  • Able to use proper lifting techniques 
  • Effective in teaching specific procedures
  • Strong decision-making ability
  • Works well with limited direction
  • Interact well with others and can develop a cohesive working relationship with partners who do not directly report to them
  • Efficient in the use of Microsoft computer programs such as Word and Excel

  • Must be able to become power equipment (Forklift) certified and keep that certification current and ongoing.
  • Must be willing to learn new process systems as they evolve.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS ANALYSIS:
