Here is what you will be doing: 

• Responsible for the daily required volume of railcar loading and unloading, along with safe railcar switching at the Savage Wynnewood, OK operation
• Operate a locomotive – Savage will provide training and certification
• Inspect railcars before they are loaded for quality control purposes
• Performing pre-shift maintenance walk downs of the entire loading system
• Work in a team environment to safely perform the daily work responsibilities
• Expect to cross train and assist in the different rail-centric functions at the facility
• Team members will perform preventive maintenance on equipment
• Provide front-line compliance with Savage 5S cleanliness and orderliness standards 

Requirements of a successful Transload Operator:

• Attend and pass all training associated with job related coursework
• Desire to learn the skills necessary to do the job safely
• Complete basic data entry tasks and any assigned tasks outlined by leadership
• Read, write, understand, and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Participate in safety training programs which may require travel
• Travel to other sites to assist leadership and other operations as needed 

Here are some of the physical requirements of this role:

• Climb on and off rail cars multiple times per shift in addition to ascending & descending from a ladder multiple times a day
• Lift 50 or more pounds frequently 
• Work a minimum of 8-12 hours daily
