Oversees and coaches field trainers and qualified instructors to ensure consistent and effective training delivery. Develops and implements structured field training programs in collaboration with Operations and Safety teams. Supports start-up operations and critical support service projects for rail operations or transloading operations Serves as a technical advisor on FRA, DOT, OSHA, MSHA and Hazmat regulations as applicable. Partners with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure safety expectations are met and exceeded. Assists in incident investigations and corrective action planning, as needed. Travels up to 75% to field sites to support training, reliability assessments, and operational improvements. Serves as subject matter expert in applicable equipment operation, compliance requirements, and industry best practices. Manage vendor relationships, contractors, and third-party service providers where applicable. Assists with the maintenance and administration of a Learning Management Information System (LMIS) platform. Requirements to be successful in this position: Experience developing and delivering technical training content. Bachelor's degree (or experience in Lieu of) preferred. Supervisory experience 1+ years Progressive experience in operations management, maintenance, or fleet/equipment leadership Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and complex operations. Strong technical knowledge in assigned designation (rail/locomotive systems, chemical transloading (rail), or trucking/fleet operations). Ability to assess and implement safety practices, maintenance standards, and compliance regulations. Skilled in troubleshooting operational challenges, analyzing data, and driving process improvements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with asset or fleet management software preferred. Physical Requirements for this role: The person should be in good physical condition. Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, including extreme heat and/or cold, humidity, dusty or dirty environments.
