This role ensures safe, efficient, and customer-focused execution of services while supporting team development, asset management, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. The General Operations Manager is a hands-on leader who learns quickly, drives operational improvements, and fosters a culture of safety and accountability in alignment with Savage's Strategic Framework. This role will support various operations across a variety of Savage sites and as such will require frequent, regular travel throughout the Savage network. Here is what you will be doing: Manage multiple operations across various regions and market with a diverse team member environment and customer base Learn, implement, teach, and execute the S7 Operating System Promote a safety culture where each team member has the value and attitude that unsafe behaviors and conditions will not happen on their shift Ability to maintain equipment and facility Committed to teaching and promoting personal responsibility for identifying and performing safe behaviors, conditions, and environmental responsibility Positive leader with the ability to be proactive in problem solving, making decisions, organizing and directing people, and utilizing coaching techniques for improving behaviors Hands-on leadership with operational and technical skills to ensure that "best practices" are being utilized in an environment where people are committed to professionalism and cleanliness Create an environment for team building with emphasis on individual development and growth Skills/Qualifications• Preferable experience with rail, transload, and refinery operationsDemonstrated ability to lead diverse teams across multiple functions and locations• Demonstrated problem solving skills• Financial acumen with the ability to analyze budgets, forecasts, and operational data• Ability to identify and develop business opportunities• Business development/commercial experience• Experience managing safety and regulatory requirements• Demonstrated organizational skills supporting multiple operations and managing multiple priorities• Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor and develop a team of leaders
