SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Technical Services Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining technical assets, coming into and out of two primary locations in the Northern VA/DC area. This role ensures the proper tracking, deployment, and disposal of IT assets, maintaining accurate records to support financial and operational management.
Responsibilities:
Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, ensuring records are up-to-date.
Track asset locations and ownership.
Facilitate the deployment and retrieval of IT assets.
Coordinate with asset depot for the procurement of IT equipment.
Develop and maintain documentation related to asset management processes and procedures, maintaining compliance with classified asset procedures.
Provide technical support for asset-related issues.
Coordinate with IT support teams to resolve hardware and software issues related to assets.
Assist in the setup and configuration of IT assets.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree and IT support experience. An additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Analytical skills with the ability to generate reports and insights from data.
Understanding of IT infrastructure.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Experience:
1 year of experience in IT asset management or a similar role.
Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
Working Conditions: Office-based environment with travel to other company locations. Will require lifting and moving of IT equipment.
