SAIC is seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Project Manager to join our Air Force Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) sustainment team.
This position will be located in Arlington, Virginia.
This role emphasizes leadership, innovation, and technical expertise to drive initiatives, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensure project success. The ideal candidate brings a strong consulting and IT background, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to deliver in high-pressure, Agile environments.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders. Conduct executive-level briefings and facilitate collaboration sessions.
Oversee a team of 3-5 individuals, coach team members, and ensure accountability for delivering high-quality services.
Track project progress, manage risks, and apply mitigation strategies to keep the initiative on track.
Draft detailed proposals, business cases, and reports.
Present project updates, metrics, and risks to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, tools, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure alignment with established organizational and DoD standards and policies.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a robust consulting background coupled with a deep understanding of IT systems and solutions.
- Proven ability to initiate, lead, and advance strategic initiatives while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrates exceptional communication abilities, including drafting proposals, business cases, and polished presentations to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to align with project objectives.
- Strong understanding of Agile terminology, processes, and roles, with the ability to run all Scrum meetings, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Experience or understanding of Air Force and DoD environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in consulting roles that required strategic thinking and IT proficiency.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, tools, and ceremonies. Ability to guide teams through Agile processes.
- Expertise in managing budgets and forecasting to support informed decision-making.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create executive-level deliverables.
Clearance:
Candidate must possess an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
