The Health Technical Writer reviews content, edits, proofreads and provides writing support. The candidate also helps to develop, conceptualize, develop layouts and prepare high quality graphics, text, and templates, and the design, preparation, and creation of new media projects for non-technical and/or technical documents or sections of documents prepared by writers such as technical reports, program deliverables, manuals, procedures and specifications.
This is a 100% Remote / Work from home role. Responsibilities include- Develops, writes, and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, instruction books, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of IT Systems. Receives assignment from supervisor, observes production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail.
- Interviews production and engineering personnel and reads journals, reports, and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods. Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to FDA EPLC standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology; reviews published materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format and content.
- May maintain records and files of work and revisions, select drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material; assist in laying out material for publication, arrange for typing, duplication and distribution of material, edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or team members.
- Ensures documents meet editorial and government specifications and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style.
- Reviews rough drafts and makes suggestions. In addition, develops multimedia applications, systems and products involving computer graphics and interactive computing using a variety of new media software applications, techniques and tools.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Education:- Proven working experience in technical writing of health/medical clinical IT documentation.
- Must have a Bachelors and 9 years of experience, Masters and 7 years of experience. Will accept an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
- Excellent written skills in English and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
