As an SAIC Senior Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a knowledge management system of workflows, processes, and procedures. Work closely with customers particularly around application change management. Applications Systems Analysts collaborate with client and SAIC teams to address application issues.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains software configurations to support identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed software and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.

  • Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.

  • Designs, develops, automates, and maintains application tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development efficiencies.

  • Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use.

  • May develop software configuration standards.

  • May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Education

  • Bachelors and five plus (5+) years or more related experience.

  • Experience developing and testing software.

  • Experience maintaining and administering configuration management tools.

  • Experience with assessment of user environments and their requirements, and identification of development constraints.

  • Experienced implementing and integrating Agile and DevOps methodology in an enterprise IT environment

  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database development, custom .NET/Java applications, and Open Source software.

  • Proven ability to understand a customer's needs.

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

  • Team player

  • Good time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in commercial and local governments business settings.

  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation Certification.

  • Familiarity with Git and Github.

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow.
