Description of Duties:   

The Sr. Electronic Security Systems Engineer will serve as a primary leader for execution on assigned electronic security projects and will develop project schedules and execute them according to plan. Additionally, the candidate will:

·        Collaborate with government and contracting team leadership to

• Manage the selection, scope of work, procurement, quality and payment of project materials, vendors and subcontractors
• Negotiate, prepare and issue subcontracts
• Ensure that assigned projects are done accurately, on-time, billed within budget and within scope of the contract
• Adhere to and ensure project personnel and subcontractors adhere to all safety standards, internal policies, and customer requirements regarding health and safety
• Understand project and contract scope; actively pursue growth opportunities that will help the customer achieve desired outcomes
• Help prepare and approve cost estimates, contract terms & conditions, and technical responses to client requests for information, bids, and proposals
• Ensure technicians, subcontractors and other site personnel complete assigned work per established standards, and thoroughly communicate the services performed and completion criteria to customers
• Analyze financial reporting and project schedule to proactively address potential problems.
• Effectively communicate project progress, issues and financial status to leadership as required
• Provide periodic project status updates, and monthly revenue, cost, and gross margin forecasts
• Manage risk, establish project recovery plans, and resolve disputes to minimize escalation
• Ensure project document controls and deliverables comply with contract requirements
• Manage the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects assigned
• Coordinate customer-training requirements

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills/Attributes:  

·        Secret clearance or above

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience
• Five (5) or more years of direct project management experience in the building construction or facilities maintenance industry
• Technical competency and experience working with commercial or industrial Electronic Security Systems (ESS) to include evaluation of contractual scope, specification interruption, change order management, basic design, and installation standards
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience managing project financials (P&L management experience)

·       Proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and Visio preferred

Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:  

• Management experience with government agencies project requirements
• Experience managing large projects (more than $1 million)
• Experience working with SCIF environments
• Experience reading and interpreting government contracts and government procurement standards
• Experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors

• PgMP, PMI or PMP certification strongly preferred
• Industry Electronic/Integrated Security System certification, licenses, and/or training (Softwarehouse C-cure 9000, Lenel, Bosch BVMS, Vindicator, etc.)
