SAIC is seeking a skilled and experienced Software Systems Engineer Principal to join our esteemed team at the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC), Studies and Analytics Division.  This pivotal role supports the national NC3 infrastructure with a focus on Oracle database systems and cloud-based application integration.  This position is located at Offutt AFB, NE.

What You Will Do:

Design and Innovate:

• Design, program, and implement advanced Oracle database systems tailored for cloud applications.
• Design, deploy, and configure Oracle database systems in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment.

Agile Teamwork:

• Excel within an integrated software team environment, adhering to an Agile Framework to deliver top-notch solutions.

DevSecOps Excellence:

• Navigate through cutting-edge DevSecOps pipelines and processes for effective delivery of database systems into diverse cloud environments.

Secure Deployments:

• Manage the deployment of database systems across various secure enclaves, maintaining the utmost data security and integrity.

AI Integration:

• Integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities with the database infrastructure to enhance functionality and efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree and nine (9) or more years' experience; Master's degree and seven (7) or more years' experience; PhD or JD and four (4) or more years' experience. Candidates with thirteen (13) or more years' of directly applicable experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Required Clearance: 

• Active TS/SCI clearance to start; Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly security clearance within 90 days to maintain employment.
• US citizenship

Proficiency:

• Demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and software development.
• Experience with Oracle development, and server administration including proficiency in PL/SQL, stored functions and procedures, packages, jobs, and triggers a plus.
