SAIC is currently seeking a Software Systems Engineer in support of the Counter-Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar (C-RAM) Program Directorate in Huntsville, AL. The C-RAM Program Directorate serves as the leader in rapidly delivering quality and operationally effective Air Defense command and control (C2), counter-fires/counter target acquisition radars, and unit/force protection systems-of-systems, supporting PEO Missiles and Space, Department of the Army, and Joint Service programs for our Soldiers.
The selected candidate will serve as part of a technical team in assuring system integration efforts are successful for the C-RAM Air Defense Airspace Management Cell (ADAM) and Forward Area Air Defense Command and Control (FAAD, C2) shelters and their subsystems. The candidate will ensure network compliance, reliability, and functionality to perform network testing using the actual system terminals and have a working knowledge of tactical employment. The candidate must have a working knowledge to perform the following: ADSI, FAAD, AMDWS and TAIS operations, SATCOM and TOCNET operations, SATCOM communications systems in relation to the shelter. The candidate should also be able to integrate Serial 3011C, Serial J, Link-16, and FAAD RF. The candidate will serve as a Field Service Representative (FSR) and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ARMY, AD/NG/Reserve units during System Fielding Checkout and delivery. Candidate should expect up to 25% travel to CONUS and possible OCONUS locations.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and two (2) years relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and civilian/military experience; additional six (6) years experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).
Clearance Requirements:
- Candidate must possess a Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain clearance; US Citizenship required.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Ability to travel up to 25% travel to CONUS and possible OCONUS locations.
- Ability to work independently and provide support to others as needed.
- Technical experience with ADSI, FAAD, AMDWS and TAIS operations, SATCOM and TOCNET operations, SATCOM communications systems in relation to the shelter.
- The successful candidate must possess good verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to deliver complex tactical emplacement and training to Soldiers and provide Warfighter support as directed.
Desired Experience/Skills:
- Familiarity with Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS) and tactical communications systems is highly desired.
- 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification is highly desired.
- Familiarity with NETOPS and Upper and Lower tactical networks.
- Technical working knowledge of various Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) routers, switches, bridges, firewalls and telecommunications equipment is desired.
