SAIC is seeking a Software Developer to coordinate with a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) to develop an updated custom production application, which provides workflow and research with the ability to review, disposition, build a profile, and update or nominate candidates to other partner organizations. This Customer provides state of the art systems on cloud and applications based on products such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Oracle, Microsoft SharePoint, and other web-based solutions.

This position is located in McLean, VA and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. 

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Provide support for implementation, design, and building enhancements, in addition to, long term maintenance of a new application. 

• Design and develop the application in a web environment. 

• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. 

• Design software or customize software for client use to optimize operational efficiency. 

• Analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. 

• Perform testing, debugging, and quality assurance of the application. 

• Help to implement a modern microservices-oriented, high-profile, mission-enabling application used daily. 

• Periodically work on other systems or tasking, as assigned to support the Project Owner's Portfolio IT modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Bachelors and 9 years or more experience; Masters 7 years or more experience.

• 1. Demonstrated experience developing applications using SQL, Python, and JavaScript. 2. Demonstrated experience with Relational databases 3. Demonstrated experience with Version control systems such as Git 4. Demonstrated experience using React framework 5. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with development in a cloud environment 6. Demonstrated experience delivering solutions using cloud services 7. Demonstrated experience with agile development methodologies 8. Demonstrated experience with working in a fast-paced, technically challenging area; ability to anticipate and manage changes or problems; assess impacts and recommend sound solutions 9. Demonstrated experience with authentication and authorization process 10. Demonstrated experience with Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) security tools 11. Demonstrated experience with ETL of data 12. Demonstrated experience with Data Analytics and Visualization 13. Demonstrated experience with Tableau and/or Power BI Dashboar

  Demonstrated experience with scalable computing, relational database services, load balancing, key management systems, autoscaling, and storage services.

  Experience using SQL, Python, and JavaScript.

   

• Experience with Relational databases.

• On-the-job experience with development in a cloud environment. 

• Experience delivering solutions using cloud services. 

• Knowledge of agile development methodologies 

• Demonstrated experience with authentication and authorization (A&A) process.

• Desired Skills: 

   

  • Experience with PostgreSQL database, Redis, and SQL. 

  • Experience with continuous integration systems such as Jenkins. 

  • Ability to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support to production systems to include troubleshooting.

  • Experience in full stack development. 

  • Experience with REST services. 

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) related certifications or other certifications.
