We have a requirement for a Senior Systems Engineer to support various organizations throughout the government customer requirements from our Indianapolis, Indiana location. The selected individual will interact with the government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts and communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. They will be responsible for technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables.
The selected systems engineer will work within the assigned SAIC organizations to provide systems engineering support, decision support, and engineering and other technical throughout a supported system's life cycle phases. We have an ongoing need for experienced systems engineer to support:
- Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal.
- Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, and Quality Management.
JOB DUTIES:
- Performs Systems Engineering activities related to Information Technology or Engineering including: concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system & op. performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA).
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.
- Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
- From an information technology perspective, may be concerned with floor layout, power & cooling, data storage, infrastructure management, backup, monitoring, operating systems, directory services, identity management, access management, and automation.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD & 0 years related experience.
- Must be a US citizen. An interim Secret clearance will be required to start work
- Experience with any of the following:
- Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal;
- Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, and Quality Management.
