SAIC is seeking a Senior Project Analyst to assist in engineering, technical project/program management, or the hard sciences to support cutting-edge technical acquisition and research programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical, engineering, and programmatic support to one or more R&D programs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams consisting of government organizations, contractors, national laboratories, and commercial vendors to provide expertise during the lifecycle of R&D programs.
  • Apply systems engineering principles to support the development and deployment of Rad/Nuc detection systems.
  • Support the DHS Systems Engineering Lifecycle process, including requirements gathering, system deployment, and operational phases.
  • Assist in the development, release, and management of solicitations, such as Broad Agency Announcements (BAA), Grants/Cooperative Agreement Notice of Funding Opportunities (NOFO), and Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) competitive bids.
  • Leverage expertise in program/project management, solicitation administration, and technical engineering to support R&D initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • BS and 9 years overall experience (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust requiring U.S. Citizenship
  • Proven experience supporting technical acquisition and research programs from conceptualization through deployment.
  • Expertise in systems engineering, including requirements definition, development, deployment, and operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Rad/Nuc detection systems.
  • Working knowledge of the DHS Systems Engineering Lifecycle and relevant processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in solicitation development and management, including BAAs, NOFOs, and SBIRs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work alongside diverse scientific and engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with government acquisition and R&D program management processes.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field such as engineering, physics, or a related hard science discipline.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
