SAIC is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the U.S. Navy in Crane, IN.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Provide design and layout for new security systems to be installed at DoD locations nationwide.
  • Visit sites and prepare the redline drawings for planned system alterations and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot security system issues.
  • Research, design, develop, modify, evaluate and test a variety of electronic equipment and systems.
  • Develop specifications for selecting components and equipment to use.
  • Provide support for ancillary facilities installation, modifications, yearly maintenance, inspections, trouble-shooting, and repair of AMAG Security Systems, American Dynamics and Pelco Digital Video Surveillance Systems and various security related sensors and devices such as balanced magnetic switches, surveillance cameras and infrared motion detectors in all USCENTCOM buildings located CONUS.
  • Inspection of installed security systems for each building to be performed quarterly and/or as required.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline and 6 or more years of professional technical experience which includes 4 or more years specialized experience performing design and integration engineering, test and evaluation activities, electrical systems requirements management, electrical systems engineering design, utilization of electrical systems engineering design software tools, and electrical systems engineering processes. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree will be accepted.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain up to a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
  • US Citizenship required.
