SAIC is seeking an Engineering Tech IV to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position requires the management of threat devices including inventory management, device troubleshooting and repair, as well as validation and verification of repairs throughout their test life cycle.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Candidate will use 3D printer work to aid in the use and repair of threat devices.
- Employee will be responsible for testing layout including setup and tear down of device track, support generators, cell towers, connection, and management of devices on the network.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic devices
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- HS/GED and 2 or more years of relative experience
- Mechanical and electrical background
- Ability to troubleshoot electronic devices and recommend/execute toward a resolution of issues
- Familiar with the use of an oscilloscope
- Able to work outdoors and perform basic lifting and assembly actions
- Able to function in a team environment as well as focus on individual assignments
- Must be able to travel at times. Travel will be to local test events 1-2 times a month as well as non local travel 1-2 times per year.
- Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process
- US Citizenship
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Familiarity with radios, drones, cellphones
- Forklift certification and MRAP license
- 7711/7721 solder certification
- Electronic PIC programming/coding knowledge
