As the Project Lead on an AF TENCAP HOPE 2.0 project, you will lead a team of engineers on discrete AF TENCAP projects from inception to transition. You will handle project management duties such as scheduling, workforce utilization, and risk management to deliver advanced prototypes to AF TENCAP and their mission partners. Projects typically last 6-18 months and vary in size and complexity. For larger projects, you will be dedicated full-time, while smaller efforts may involve managing up to five projects concurrently. Teams will be matrixed from functional areas to include various engineering specialties, mission specialists, technical writers, cybersecurity professionals, trainers, testers, and software developers. Your role is crucial in delivering innovative solutions that meet the US Air Force's evolving needs.

The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive experience leading cross-functional teams in a rapid response or fast-paced environment. The candidate should possess engineering and/or project management & leadership expertise in a prototyping setting and be skilled in managing project staffing, overseeing stakeholder analysis, and aligning team resources to meet project goals. Strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and proficiency in managing risks and customer relationships are essential.

  • Lead and integrate activities in accordance with project requirements to ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance.
  • Manage a team of engineers to deliver rapid prototypes from approval through project transition.
  • Conduct project management duties, including scheduling, workforce utilization, and risk management.
  • Write monthly project update reports, and complete EACs and ETCs.
  • Interface with AF TENCAP stakeholders to gather input, align objectives, and ensure the TDP meets mission needs.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Interact with the PMO Operations Managers to ensure project alignment with program goals and contractual requirements.
  • Provide inputs and recommendations for realizing efficiencies and leveraging emerging capabilities for TENCAP objectives.

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree with 15 Years of Experience in supporting DoD/IC Projects.
  • 5 Years of Experience in Leading Technical Teams.
  • 3 Years of Experience in Project/Program/Task Management.
  • Experience managing a matrixed, geographically dispersed team.
  • Experience with ISR Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and/or Dissemination efforts.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD).Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP).
  • Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience with MBSE and Digital Tools (e.g., Aras Innovator, Cameo, DOORS, AF SIM).Experience with SW Development methodologies (e.g. DevSecOps).

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
