We are seeking an experienced AI and Data Solutions Engineering Program Manager to lead the AI and Data portfolio's solution engineering team, managing a team of solutions engineers and driving strategic initiatives to enhance the portfolio's value proposition within the Digital Innovation Factory and the larger SAIC enterprise.

This is a fully remote job that can be worked anywhere within the U.S. 

This role will play a pivotal role in creating a cohesive narrative around our portfolio's technical capabilities and products through white papers, RFI/RFP responses, and other content tailored for diverse internal and external stakeholders as well as a strategy for how those artifacts will be captured and disseminated within the company. This role will lead a team of solutions engineers to provide specialized subject matter and portfolio expertise to assist multiple internal teams in solutioning and writing for areas like capture and sales support in alignment with the portfolio. 

This role will also work with leadership within the portfolio and across the larger organization to capture and disseminate the "SAIC" way for evolving portfolio capabilities through various mediums such as white papers, written methodologies, and frameworks. The Solutions Engineering team will be responsible for the development and delivery of methodologies, frameworks, and technical documentation supporting our AI, Machine Learning (ML), ethical AI, and data capabilities. 

This leadership role requires exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, technical acumen, and subject matter expertise in AI, data, and their applications in government and/or defense environments. 

Key Responsibilities :

  • Leadership and Team Development: 
    • Build and lead a team of solutions engineers specializing in AI, ML, ethical AI, and data.
    • Foster an environment of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
    • Train a team of solutions engineers on the existing AI and Data portfolio and best practices for representing the portfolio in written responses. 
  • Strategy Development: 
    • Develop and execute strategies to support the portfolio and enterprise-wide objectives with effective RFI and RFP responses. 
    • Build and communicate a roadmap of planned deliverables for the upcoming fiscal year.
    • Create comprehensive methodologies for responsible AI practices, data governance, AI capabilities, and ML implementation. 
  • Technical Writing and Content Creation: 
    • Oversee the creation of high-quality documentation, including white papers, frameworks, and briefs that capture the portfolio's capabilities and align with portfolio and enterprise strategic priorities.
    • Develop reusable templates and content to streamline writing development.
    • Collaborate within the portfolio and across other teams and portfolio areas to ensure cohesion across Digital Innovation Factory Solutions Engineering efforts. 

Qualifications

Required Citizenship:

  •  Must be a U.S. Citizen 

Required Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, systems engineering, or another applicable field. Master's degree preferred. 

Required Experience: 

  • 15 or more years of professional experience in AI, data science, machine learning, or related fields, with a focus on federal contracting or government environments. 
  • Proven experience leading teams of technical professionals, including solutions engineers or subject matter experts.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering RFI/RFP responses and other technical documentation for enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with frameworks and methodologies for responsible AI, data, and related governance, risk, and compliance topics. 

Required Skills: 

  • Strong understanding of AI, ML, and data best practices, capabilities, and market trends.
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition processes and compliance requirements.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in the context of large-scale documentation efforts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in computer science, data science, systems engineering, or another applicable field.
  • Certifications in AI, data science, or related fields.
  • Proven experience with successfully writing and delivering white papers, technical briefs, reports, etc.
  • Familiarity with enterprise tools for project management and collaborative writing (e.g., Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Clarity). 

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
