SAIC is the premier Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) integrator with expertise in transforming legacy command and control systems into a modern hybrid cloud environment to accelerate decision making and increase mission success. This new program is part of a broader effort to provide a tactical operational picture aligned with the JADC2 and Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) to adapt to new and emerging threats.  

SAIC is seeking Logistics Lead in support of our United States Air Force customer.  The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the product support activities including of lab and repairs, technical writing, help desk, field support, and training.  

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience. 

US Citizenship and an active Secret Clearance

Serve as the champion for the customer. Ability to oversee end to end sustaining engineering, fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of deployed systems.  Ensure product sustainment is incorporated early into the design of the system. Expert in performing and optimizing support strategies utilizing analysis such as FMECA, LORA, MTBF, etc.  Ensure product component DMS/EOL are reviewed on a monthly basis, perform analysis of alternatives, and provide recommendation for any potential DMS items.  

 

Oversee various functions within product support including goods movement, repairs, technical writing, lab support, deployed fleet representative support.  

 

Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes. Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans. Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision.  

Viewed as expert in field within the corporation. Establishes operational objectives and assignments. Objectives are reviewed by senior management to determine success of operation. Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies, which affect immediate operation(s) and may have company-wide effect. Participates in development of solutions to problems of unusually complex, which require a high degree of ingenuity and innovation. Challenges are often unique and solutions may serve precedent for future decisions. Works under consultative direction toward pre-determined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Virtually self-supervisory. Decisions affect the financial, employee, or public relations posture of the organization.  Serves as external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to customer needs.  


Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
