SAIC has an opening for a Paint Technician in Indianapolis, IN.

The Paint Technician will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Perform sanding, blending, shaping, cleaning, masking, and other tasking related to 

  • The preparation and completion of industrial parts for military coating finishes.

  • Work with basic measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers daily.

  • Working as a team and individually towards a common goal with clear 

    communication efforts.

  • Follow standard and common shop processes to perform work tasking but also be 

    able to 'adapt and overcome' when appropriate.

  • Follow ISO9000 and AS9100 standard processes and procedures.

  • Job tracking, data entry, and paperwork as deemed necessary.

  • Project scheduling and demands are fluid thus tasking may deviate when 

    necessary.

  • Follow corporate and local office policies and procedures including but not limited 

    to; daily timecard recording and email checks.

 

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Clearance: 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Confidential security clearance; New Hire employee will be required to submit background information necessary for security clearance evaluation.

  • US Citizenship required.

Required Skills: 

  • Previous experience performing sanding, blending, cleaning, masking, or other tasking related to the preparation and completion of industrial parts for paint finishes.

  • Experience as a technician working in a manufacturing/industrial/shop environment is also accepted.

  • Experience with measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.

  • Basic computer skills are a must (Logging in, Email, Timecard entry, Job tracking, etc.)

  • This employment includes a 120-day probationary period.

Work Week:

  • Monday-Friday, 40 hour week, 8 hours per day. Potential 2nd shift opportunities.
