SAIC is seeking an Operations Research Sr. Manager to act as a Deputy Operational Warfighter Liaison for USAF TENCAP. USAF TENCAP delivers rapid, innovative, and cost-effective capabilities to meet urgent warfighter need, and will include bringing space capabilities to bear cross all warfighting domains spanning intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, combat applications, battlespace awareness, command and control, multi-level security and mission programs. This next generation approach shall employ the latest advancements in geolocation and tagging, sensor and data fusion, unconventional/asymmetric warfare, situational awareness, cyberspace and spectrum warfare, large data analytics, data lake, jamming technologies, sensor technologies, geo-registration to deliver a cutting-edge approach.
The ideal candidate will have operational experience and be able to effectively communicate complex topics with mission stakeholders, translating warfighter needs and priorities to the Team SAIC's engineering team(s). The candidate will perform customer-facing duties to ensure prototypes meet stakeholder expectations and support transition of the project to a program of record. Additionally, the candidate will be overseeing other Operational Warfighter Liaison teammates projects, efforts, and execution of their duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the interface with USAF TENCAP mission partners and stakeholders to understand warfighting gaps and needs and translate into product vision and goals.
- Work with a cross-functional team as prototypes are developed, to ensure that the product meets warfighter requirements.
- Work in an agile environment, and act as a liaison between stakeholders, customers, and developers/engineers.
- Plan, deconflict, and execute stakeholder engagements across 35-45 projects throughout all phases of execution.
- Oversee training and transition of the prototype from TENCAP to mission stakeholder.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to a diverse team.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a team strategy based on customer requirements and direction.
- Assist in overseeing the facilitating and delegation of individuals to support customer priorities and initiatives.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree and 18 years or more experience.
- 10+ Experience as an operator, such as an Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO), Air Battle Manager (ABM), Pilot, Sensor Operator, Space, Missileer, Cyber, etc.
- Minimum 5 years of experience planning, directing, coordinating, and managing projects related to Air Force Research, Development, Test and Evaluation.
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working in an AF acquisition or Intelligence Community project management position leading integrated teams consisting of engineers, analysts, and project management personnel.
- Five or more years' experience in R&D or rapid acquisition development projects.
- Experience integrating projects.
- Experience providing successful project transition (from prototype to sustainment).
Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
