SAIC is seeking a highly organized and motivated leader with a diverse set of engineering technician, asset management, and/or logistical skills to serve as the Operations Lead for a fleet of trailers used to transport explosive assets and related equipment. This will support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and will report technical and programmatic information to project stakeholders
- Work in a team environment with Government and SAIC engineers to design, development, test and implement modern systems for the U.S. Navy
- Monitor inspection intervals and coordinate with SAIC, Government, and local vendors to ensure inspection cycles are met without impacting mission needs
- Play a pivotal role in facilitating the transfer of technology and technical information between SAIC and the U.S. Navy
- Serve as our technical expert and on-site representative, you will drive collaboration and ensure the seamless integration of new technologies and processes to ensure mission requirements are met
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years of experience. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree will be accepted
- Interim Secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process
- Must be able to work with schematics and engineering drawings
- Must have the ability to investigate and troubleshoot problems on operational hardware and software
- Must have ability to effectively communicate issues to technical team through verbal communication and technical reports
Preferred Experience:
- Hydraulic and Electrical background
