SAIC is seeking a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Analyst to support the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) program at the US Air Forces Europe / Air Forces Africa (U-A) Warfare Center (UAWC) in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
COBRA provides for the implementation, integration, development, and delivery of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) solutions to support the US Air Force, Department of Defense, and mission partner multi-domain operations (MDO) within the Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) strategy.
This role of this position is to facilitate the delivery of local and distributed live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training environments to US and partner-nation military forces spanning the United States European Command (USEUCOM) and United States Africa Command (USAFRICA) Areas of Responsibility.
Duties of the Modeling & Simulation Analyst will include:
· Provide M&S services and support for all federations, models, and systems through the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) in preparation for, during, and after events, including but not limited to training of augmentation personnel; testing; configuration management; functional/operational support; system integration; troubleshooting/debugging; system software and hardware support; and database development, modification, and maintenance (including but not limited to unit, terrain, visual and entity databases). As used herein, “events” refers to all activities that require M&S services or support to include but are not limited to exercises; mission rehearsals; threat, functional, operational, risk reduction and integration tests; and training missions and events.
· Identify and submit innovative M&S solutions to enhance existing capabilities.
· Review test plans and define/develop test benches for software libraries.
· Ensure models and simulations comply with UAWC Information Assurance and network security protocols.
· Provide support for all models, maps, underlays, and terrain databases in preparation for, during, and after events.
· For the domain / mission areas identified above, prepare, coordinate, and present briefings and lead discussions with a wide range of audiences as requested by the Government.

· U.S. Secret security clearance, eligible for Top Secret / SCI
· DoDM 8140.03 Information Technology Department of Defense Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) 451 System Administrator Basic Certification. (ie, Sec+)
· Bachelor's and 9, or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
· Ability to effectively configure, troubleshoot, and operate M&S federations, models, systems, and their associated components.
· Experience working in a distributed environment using both Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) and High-Level Architecture (HLA) protocols.
· Understanding of TCP/UDP network communication.
· Understanding of Unicast, Multicast, and Broadcast networking.
Desired Experience/Qualifications:
· Familiarity reviewing and editing simulation model XML files.
· Basic understanding of common programming languages.
· Experience with Windows and Linux system administration and scripting.
· Experience developing engineering network solutions and technical diagrams, as well as providing port and protocol information for specified systems.
· Experience with M&S federation tools such as Joint Simulation Protocol Analyzer (JSPA), DIS-Filter, and/or JLVC Analysis Workstation (JAWS).
· Familiarity with VMWare and the creation and use of virtual machines.
· Proficient using MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
· Experience working in a virtual computing environment.
· Experience using networking tools such as Wireshark, OneConnect, and Netlink.
· Understanding of basic computer hardware maintenance.
Travel – International travel of up to 20%.
Expected Salary Range - Highly dependent on candidate qualifications.
· $120,000-165,000
