SAIC is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineer to support SAIC's Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA.  Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.  Must have an Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly

As the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineer, you will provide essential SETA support to the Landmark AOS MBSE Team, focusing on ensuring that the HIVE ground external and internal interfaces are accurately defined, verified, and maintained in MBSE-compatible formats. 

Key Responsibilities to include:

  • Define and document external and internal interfaces for the HIVE ground system using MBSE methodologies.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on MBSE tools and processes.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining MBSE models to support system engineering activities.
  • Ensure that all interfaces are accurately captured and maintained in MBSE-compatible formats.
  • Verify interface definitions through modeling and simulation to ensure they meet system requirements.
  • Maintain and update MBSE models to reflect changes in system design and interface definitions.
  • Ensure that MBSE models are kept current and accurately represent the system architecture and interfaces.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of MBSE models to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Work closely with system engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Document interface definitions, verification results, and MBSE model updates meticulously.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly
  • Proven experience in defining, verifying, and maintaining system interfaces using MBSE methodologies.
  • Proficiency in MBSE tools.
  • Strong understanding of SysML (Systems Modeling Language) and UML (Unified Modeling Language).
  • Knowledge of modeling and simulation techniques for interface verification.
  • Prior experience supporting the IC.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and concise documentation and reporting.
