SAIC is looking for a Logistics Management Specialist in Crane, IN to support in F3008 contract at Crane, Indiana. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Performs system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS).
  • Support all activities associated with researching and recommending cost effective purchase arrangements approved by the Government.
  • Support the purchase process and participate in activities coordinating the delivery of purchases.
  • Participate in the management, tracking, and auditing of hardware recapitalization, and maintenance agreements.
  • Support the efficient flow of assets and information between points of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements.
  • Participate in the process to review purchase requisitions for clarity, compliance, detail, completeness, and obtain additional information considered necessary.
  • Support Government purchases and ensure processes are followed to include corporate requirements needed to meet supply/procurement requirements.
  • Actively participate in the procurement process from order placement through receipt of products and subsequent payment of invoices.
  • Actively participate in the management of supplier performance through consistent communication to ensure proper adherence to purchase order terms and conditions.
  • Actively participate in the invoice approval process to ensure that supplier invoices are in accordance with purchase order terms and conditions, and support resolving issues as necessary.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE: 

  • Bachelor's degree and 0 years' experience. Three (3) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree, minimum of two (2) years of technical experience in logistics or related field and (3) years of directly related logistics support experience will be taken in lieu of college degree.
  • Familiarity with warehousing and inventory management principles
  • Familiarity with basic financial accounting for cost estimates and tracking
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of supply chains and supply chain management
  • Familiarity with inventory management principles 
  • Experience with coordinating order tracking of procurements, hardware, machine shop, and cable equipment shipments.
  • Experience with researching parts for procurement using drawings, assembly instructions, and excel documents to find the best price and lead time available for products for government systems.
  • Work in team environment.
  • Experience with Excel spreadsheets and inventory tracking. Understanding of Microsoft applications is a plus.
  • Support receiving or similar assets, scheduling required maintenance, monitoring the maintenance and return of assets to the appropriate activity using current shipping standards, Form DD1149 and Form DD1348s.
  • Must possess good oral and written communications skills and be familiar with PC Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Position requires good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift, up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a busy environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • No clearance required to start however must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance.  SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
