SAIC is seeking a Logistics Associate to join our team in support of the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) contract for U.S. Army Reserve Command (USARC) G-6. The on-site position is located at Fort Liberty, NC. Under direct supervision, responsible for review/develop/modify/test procedures and systems requirements to manage property book requirements directly supporting DoD Enterprise infrastructure and infostructure IT goals and projects. Train internal and external customers regarding procedures/ processes and software applications. Conduct internal audits and development/ review of corrective action plans. Negotiate supplier agreements and service contracts as required by job. Have knowledge of capital procurement processes. Perform duties and responsibilities as the lead on process improvement teams. Coordinate workflow and material movement to meet program and customer delivery requirements. This is a part-time position

 

The Logistics Associate is responsible for but not limited to the following: 

  • Coordinate with transportation to track the movements of shipments
  • Review of purchase orders to ensure accuracy in shipment information
  • Respond and follow up with all inquiries (written and verbal) for team, vendors, and customers related to purchase orders
  • Work closely with Operations to manage inventory levels as needed
  • Manage supplies, materials and products
  • Oversee supply chain processes, such as purchases, inventory, warehouse spaces and transportation services used
  • Identify ways to improve logistical operations
  • Strategize time and cost savings throughout the supply chain process
  • Analyze factors that affect the supply chain
  • Collect data on supply chain processes and using that data to improve processes
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve processes
  • Establish and update supply chain policies and processes

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma and zero (0) years' experience

 

Required Clearance: 

  • Must possess an active interim Secret security clearance to start with the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required.

 

Required Skills: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Primarily Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team by regularly interfacing with a wide range of Civilian and Military personnel.
