SAIC is seeking a Logistician to support our In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) program for Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pac). This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to make a substantial impact. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working independently to deliver exceptional results.
The Logistician will work as part of a team that provides logistics support, warehousing, shipping, receiving, inventory control and procurement for a major Navy system.
This is an ONSITE role in San Diego, CA. Must be local to area
JOB DUTIES:
- Candidate will coordinate with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production schedules.
- Execute material expediting functions as necessary to meet delivery schedules. Generate and coordinate shipments while verifying the accuracy of shipping documentation.
- Frequently use logistics software systems to cross-reference manufacturer part numbers to National Stock Numbers (NSN) and identify part requisitioning information.
- Identify and work with vendors/distributors for parts procurement. Initiate purchase requests for material or services. Continually track ordered material and provide estimated delivery dates.
- Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
- Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience in logistics. Years of experience in logistics in lieu of degree to be reviewed.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an Active Secret Clearance
- Understanding of inventory control practices. Experience conducting inventory audits in a logistics environment.
- Experience warehousing material with Item Unique Identification (IUIDs).
- Experience with Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP)/ Military Standard Transaction Reporting and Accounting Procedures (MILSTRAP) logistics processes and procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, Teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Experience with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP)
- Experience working in a Performance-Based Logistics Organization (PBLO) environment.
Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
