SAIC is seeking a Lead System Administrator to support the AF TENCAP HOPE 2.0 contract. The AF TENCAP HOPE 2.0 contract bridges intelligence community collection architectures, capabilities, and technologies with DoD operational and tactical requirements. This effort will deliver rapid, innovative, and cost-effective capabilities to meet warfighter needs, and will include bringing national capabilities to bear across all warfighting domains spanning intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, combat applications, battlespace awareness, command and control, multi-level security and mission programs. This next generation approach shall employ the latest advancements in geolocation and tagging, sensor and data fusion, unconventional / asymmetric warfare, situational awareness, cyberspace and spectrum warfare, large data analytics, data lake, jamming technologies, sensor technologies, geo-registration to deliver a cutting-edge approach.
The Lead System Administrator for AF TENCAP is essential to the success of the HOPE 2.0 initiative, focusing on deploying patches and updates to ensure system security and efficiency, conducting thorough troubleshooting to resolve technical issues, and responding promptly to trouble tickets to provide excellent user support. Maintaining the smooth operation and reliability of our IT infrastructure is crucial to enhance the Air Force's multi-domain situational awareness and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with network engineers.
Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, and tune system performance.
Install system-wide software and allocate mass storage space effectively.
Interact with users and evaluate vendor products, making recommendations for hardware and software purchases.
Coordinate installation of patches, security updates, and provide backup recovery services.
Develop and monitor policies and standards for the allocation and use of computing resources.
Act as the primary liaison for mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture activities related to user access, network, security, and support.
Create solutions to highly complex problems with a high degree of creativity and innovation.
Operate with consultative direction towards long-range goals and objectives, often self-initiating assignments.
Advise management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:BS and 14+ years of experience
CompTIA Security + certification
Active TS/SCI clearance
System Administration experience in both Windows and Linux environments.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in STEM related fields.
Experience with the following: Rancher, Kubernetes, Puppet, Nifi, Kafka, Zookeeper, Keycloak, Grafana, and Gitlab.
Additional certifications, such as Cloud+, GICSP. SSCP, or GSEC
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
