SAIC is seeking ITIL Asset Management Analyst is responsible for the administration and management of IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from procurement to disposal. This role ensures that IT assets are effectively tracked, managed, and reported in accordance with ITIL best practices and organizational policies. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of ITIL principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen attention to detail. The position is in Reston, VA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
- Use asset management tools and databases to track asset status, ownership, and location.
- Ensure all assets are properly tagged and documented upon acquisition and updated throughout their lifecycle.
- Implement and adhere to ITIL best practices for asset management
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulations.
- Perform regular audits of IT asset data to identify discrepancies and reconcile records.
- Generate and distribute reports on asset utilization, lifecycle status, and other key metrics.
- Provide actionable insights to IT and business stakeholders based on analysis of asset data
- Liaise with vendors for procurement, maintenance, and support of IT assets.
- Coordinate with finance and procurement teams for asset purchases and disposals.
- Work closely with IT support teams to address asset-related issues and requests.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand asset needs and optimize asset usage.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on asset management policies and procedures.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition to disposal.
- Ensure timely and appropriate asset decommissioning and disposal in compliance with environmental and data security policies.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
Desired Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, management information systems, or equivalent experience
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT asset management or a similar role.
- Proven experience with ITIL framework and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with asset management tools and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and lifecycle management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- ITIL V4 certification
- IAITAM (International Association of IT Asset Managers) certification
Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI with the required poly.
