SAIC is seeking a college intern to join our Vision Science research team conducting experiments involving visual distortion in support of the Air Force Research Laboratory efforts in laser bioeffects and safety. The individual will work with scientists and engineers to model and measure the visual effects from image distortion through eyewear. This is a full-time summer position at the Air Force Research Laboratory at JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Qualifications
Responsibilities will include:
Planning and executing vision science experiments of distortion using a spatial light modulator, including modeling the expected and measured distortion effects.
Communicating results both orally and in writing.
Qualifications:
Enrollment in or completion of an undergraduate degree in a physical science.
Experience with techniques in optometry.
Familiarity with Python.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
