SAIC is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, highly motivated Ground Software Development and Test Support Engineer to join an energetic and versatile ground team to fulfill all aspects of testing on a new and evolving Spacecraft Ground System. This position is located in the Denver Metro area and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Evaluate detailed test plans, procedures and scenarios for software acceptance/verification
- Perform analysis of requirements; evaluate requirement changes for software and system-level impacts and provide feedback regarding requirements testability
- Ensure developer follows software development methodologies and maintains software development standards and procedures; support bi-weekly development sprint demos
- Perform real-time observation/witness of requirements verification (dry runs, DT&E)
- Ensure new software modifications meet requirements and operate satisfactorily in the system environment
- Perform analysis of requirement verification reports, ensuring system through software-level requirements are satisfied and provide recommendations to the program office
- Provide weekly correspondence to the program office of successes and failures of all executed formal test procedures
- Write clear, concise and effective correspondence to local and geographically separated program office personnel
- Provide technical support for software promotions to operational baselines
- Provide technical support for readiness events/exercises and rotational shift support for new spacecraft initialization
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI with polygraph

Bachelors degree and 9+ years professional experience. Note: Professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

5+ years minimum software development/test experience

Demonstrated on-the-job experience communicating technical concepts and project information to technical and non-technical audiences

Experience supporting the Intelligence Community
Desired Qualifications:

On-the-job experience as a tester for spacecraft ground system software/hardware

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments

On-the-job experience conducting end-to-end testing of large or complex spacecraft ground systems
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
