SAIC is seeking a qualified Fighter Pilot to support the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS) program in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

 

AFAMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners to support the Warfighter in a full-spectrum operations environment.

 

This position supports the USAFE-AFAFRICA Warfare Center (UAWC) at Einsiedlerhof AS, Germany. Success in this position directly impacts the training readiness of USAF, Joint Force, and Allied military forces in Europe and across the globe.

 

The Fighter Pilot duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

·        Conduct simulated air operations during exercises in missions that include 4th / 5th Gen fighter employment, 4th / 5th Gen Fighter Integration (FI), Offensive Counterair (OCA), Defense Counterair (DCA), Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD), Air Interdiction (AI), Close Air Support (CAS), Strike Coordination and Reconnaissance (SCAR), Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR), and Dynamic Targeting (DT).

·        Facilitate the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) with warfighters including exercise scenario development, mission planning, mass briefs, mission briefs, execution, debriefs, analysis, and after-action reports.

·        Develop exercise documents including Air Operations Directives (AOD), Air Tasking Orders (ATO), Airspace Control Plans (ACP), Airspace Control Orders (ACO), Area Air Defense Plans (AADP), Special Instructions (SPINs), and mission execution products.

·        Execute blue, red, and white force roles in simulation systems that include the F-35 Emulated Non-OFP Interoperability Xperience (FENIX) simulator, Next Generation Threat System (NGTS), Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE), and Air Warfare Simulation (AWSIM).

·        Prepare, coordinate, and present USAF, Joint Force, and Allied air warfare briefings, support academic development and instruction, and lead air warfare discussions with a wide range of audiences as requested by the US Government.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 4th / 5th Gen Fighter Pilot with operational experience within 5 years
  • Bachelor's and 14, or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 200 hours of flight instructor or flight evaluator experience.
  • US Citizen, active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI

 

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • USAF Weapons School or US Navy Top Gun graduate.
  • Mission commander.
  • Air Operations Center experience.
  • NATO Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) experience.
  • Experience on the USAFE-AFAFRICA staff.
  • Knowledge of USAF tactical employment doctrine and US Joint doctrine.
