Description of Duties:   

The Facilities Manager will plan and manage all aspects of the facilities function which may include but is not limited to maintenance, equipment, machinery, construction, building space allocation and layout, office services, leased properties and furnishings, and communication services. Additionally, the candidate will:

·        Plan, budget and schedule facilities modifications and moves

·        Inspect construction and installation progress to ensure conformance with established specifications and to comply with company and/or government regulations

·        Responsible for managing a function that includes multiple related departments. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods

·        Direct and control the activities of a broad functional area through lower management levels.

·        Establish policies appropriate for the function

·        Interpret and recommend modifications to division-wide policies and practices.

·        Develop budgets, schedules and performance standards

·        Conduct business and technical briefings for senior management and for external representatives

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills/Attributes:  

·        Secret clearance or above

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience
• Eighteen (18) or more years' experience; at least five (5) in Facilities Management

Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:  

• Worked in Facilities Management with government agencies
