Description
The Executive Protection Agent will provide for the welfare, physical protection, and security of a high-profile client by performing armed and/or unarmed executive protection assignments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide close protection and other security-related functions for the client during domestic and/or international assignments.
- Perform protective advance planning and threat vulnerability assessments.
- Transport the client and/or family members to events and appointments, using evasive and/or defensive driving tactics, as needed.
- Effectively manage the client and/or their family/representative requests against the need to ensure all safety and security precautions.
- Respond to emergencies as needed.
- Deescalate tense situations or individuals that arise at the principals office, residence and/or events.
- Communicate vulnerabilities or safety concerns in a timely manner.
- Lead counter surveillance operations.
- Complete suspicious activity reports, incident reports. shift logs, pattern of life reports, medical treatment reports, and other administrative requirements.
- Ensure vehicle is always in clean and safe operating conditions.
- Assist with protection schedules and team assignments.
- Operate and maintain protective, operations, and communications equipment.
- Promptly identify and escalate deficiencies/failures.
- Assist with and conduct site profile assessments of SAIC facilities in coordination with the Unclassified Security Operations Program.
- Serve as an auxiliary investigator on Corporate Security related investigations
- Provides protective services for the company executives, members of the Board of Directors.
- Plans, coordinates, and ensures personal protection throughout facilities, residences, off-site events, and ground and air transportation.
- Extensive advance work, traveling both domestic and internationally.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum eleven (11) years of relevant experience.
- Must have a current Virginia Dept. of Criminal Justice Services registration for Armed Personal Protection Specialist.
- Must be able to acquire a Top Secret Security Clearance.
- US Citizenship Required
- Candidates must qualify for the Department of Homeland Security's Global Entry Program.
- Must possess a current Driver's License with a clean record.
- Must possess a valid passport and able to travel domestically and internationally.
- AED/ CPR certification.
- Experience dealing with workplace violence issues and training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of formal course work leading to a certification in executive protection
- Completion of a formal Executive Protection Driving Course (i.e. Tony Scotti, VDI, BSR).
- Experience in a corporate environment providing close protection in a civilian capacity with regular interaction in support of senior executives.
- Experience operating internationally in a security capacity.
- Possess a Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act (LEOSA), HR 218 permit.
