SAIC is searching for a DevSecOps Engineer to support one of the foundational networks in the Joint Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) family of systems. JEXC2 systems are made up of various command, control, communications, computers and intelligence subsystems and networks, including associated infrastructure and communications equipment. The program is aimed at supporting the military's bid to achieve a Joint All-Domain Command and Control capability, which is the concept of connecting sensors across all domains, including space and cyberspace, into a single network.
Work will be a hybrid combination of remote work and tasking performed onsite in Panama City Beach, FL. Local candidates are encouraged to apply. Candidate will be a member of the Application Hosting arm of the VSE project. This team is responsible for External & Internal VM and Container Hosting services and Connected App Systems. As a part of this team, the candidate's job requirements will be:
- Leverage existing resources to integrate new applications, products, and services
- Interact and collaborate with external groups independently beyond the ISEA team and PMW790
- Review briefs and application documentation to make informed engineering solutions
- Analyze user software requirements to aid in determining the feasibility of the design requirements
- Perform software system testing and validation
- Recommend and propose alternative solutions (if necessary) based upon finding during integration process
- Maintain system architecture and implementation documentation
- Set integration standards and best practices for implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor and 5 years of experience is required; a minimum 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- An Interim Secret clearance must be obtained or currently active in order to begin work on this program. Must be eligible to receive Top Secret clearance.
- 5+ year experience in the following:
- Linux-based systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, etc)
- virtualized systems (VMware vSphere, Microsoft HyperV, etc)
- deploying/configuring/maintaining virtual machines
- using command line interfaces (CLIs) and tools, examining log files, etc
- configuring services via text config files (JSON, YAML, etc)
- scripting (bash, python, Powershell)
- 3+ year experience working in DoD-based environment, familiar with standard tools like STIGs, ACAS, SRGs, etc
- 2+ year experience with container based technologies (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Packer)
