SAIC is looking for a dynamic and innovative Deputy Program Manager (DPM) with excellent management and people skills. This position will require technical acumen to assist the Program Manager to oversee complex, multi-disciplinary engineering teams in an innovative, dynamic, and dispersed work environment. Ability to articulate and communicate across all levels of program personnel up to and including senior sponsor executives. Work to be performed in Indianapolis, Indiana.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting multiple contract types the DPM leads and takes ownership of all matters relating to and adherence of all contract requirements including controlling financial and administrative costs, staffing, tracking and supporting the Program Manager with delivery of technical contract deliverables, subcontracting, status reports and other requirements as levied by the sponsor.
  • Financial oversight includes working with the program's project controller to plan, execute and track all financial related tasks, and working closely with the contracts, subcontracts, and procurement leads to acquire all program related material and services.
  • The DPM assists the Program Manager to ensure compliance with quality standards, firm fixed price delivery, and contract compliance, and notify SAIC leadership before they become issues.
  • The DPM functions as the alternate point of contact with Sponsor and representatives on project issues, engaging team resources as appropriate.
  • Driving business and staff development, briefing leadership on program status, milestones, and progress against plan.
  • Developing procedures, planning and directing execution of the contractual, technical, multi-disciplinary engineering, programming, maintenance, and administrative tasks for all program activities. 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or management-related field, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum twelve (12) years of experience managing DOD programs.
  • Minimum  six (6) years of experience capturing and managing Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs).
  • Experience with complex technical programs to include design, production, test and fielding.
  • Experience managing and balancing prime and subcontract skill mix while ensuring coverage and corporate financial goals are met or exceeded.

Required Security Clearance: 

  • Must be a US Citizen with an active secret security clearance.
